The Cornwell blanket chest features a safety button to prevent fingers from being crushed. If the lid falls, a soft close mechanism is activated and the lid slowly closes the rest of the way. It is shown only in solid character walnut/wormy brown maple, but is also available in all other North American hardwoods. The dimensions are as follows;
